Young Artist Showcase
September 24-October 31

Opening Reception: Friday October 9, 5-7pm

As part of Maine Photo Project, The Maine Media Gallery will host a juried show highlighting emerging photographic talent. The exhibition will feature selected work by students (ages 14-18) who have participated in the Young Artist Program at Maine Media Workshops + College. The program offers students the opportunity to delve into photography through an intensive, creative experience, learning from world-renowned photographers and developing their own artistic voices. The work on view will make evident the passion and talent in these young artists, soon-to-be the next generation of groundbreaking photographers.

This show was juried by Allison V. Smith a successful fine art photographer and photo journalist who began her study of photography in one of Maine Media's first Young Artist programs.
