DM Witman: Supercluster Arion and Other Phenomena
March 5 through April 18, 2015

This exhibition at Unity College's Leonard Craig Gallery explores themes of obsession- ephemerality, biology, metaphysics, and earthly consequence. Over the course of two years, Deanna Witman worked with common slugs directly on silver photographic paper. The process involved nightly slug hunting trips into the woods, followed by late night darkroom sessions. Each image is unique and cannot be recreated- each a singular object, and yet part of the collective, across time.

Deanna (or DM) Witman's work will also be on view at the Maine Museum of Photographic Art's exhibition at the University of Southern Maine's Glickman Library.
